Services and history

My name is Jean Huisman. I started teaching in Vietnam in 2016. I taught at several schools in Saigon over a few years. It was amazing to learn about the joys of helping young learners develop their skills.

It was amazing to see the huge effort students and parents put into organizing their busy lives and making time to learn English as an extra activity. Learning a new language is a huge commitment, and I had to admire the way students and working adults balanced this with all the other things they were working toward.

I saw the potential in online platforms designed to make this easier, and began building a network of people to teach and, most of all, learn from.

Working for many incredible companies taught me a lot about what works, and what doesn't. I learned how to build an understanding of language brick-by-brick, like a wall with a strong foundation.

Teaching students from every possible background and age taught me how to keep my young learners engaged, and ask my adult students the right questions to find out where they wanted to go with their careers in English.

I realized that every student is different. While standardized curricula can be incredibly useful for building English from the ground up, it has to be balanced with enough flexibility to meet the needs of individuals.
